Introduction. The neurogenesis of the brain young rats can be affected by several factors in their development, with practice physical exercises being an important factor nervous tissue. Objective. To investigate effects different exercise protocols medium and high intensity on adolescent rats. Method. experimental study, where three groups animals were used: a control group (RC), that performed medium-intensity (R1) high-intensity (R2). Each 8 animals, totaling 24 animals. progressive resisted program vertical ladder was carried out for 4 weeks, 5 days week duration varying between 30 45 minutes. After end experiments, euthanized removal subsequent processing, staining using Nissl method histomorphometric analysis counting neurons dentate gyrus hippocampus subventricular zone. Results. data demonstrated there no significant difference area height apex hippocampal (p=0.2474 p=0.3337; respectively). results length showed differences (p=0.0172).
